OUR STORY:  Echo Stone decor/Echo Life STYLE

  I studied B. Iuris (law)  for  a year and then did my B. Admin degree majoring in Business economics, Business pshycology , and public managment at the Free State University.  After that I also was employed at the university for 6 years. 

In 1996  I opened a small boutique gift, shop selling mainly fresh flowers and dried flower arrangements.The then Little Flowers Shop  expanded and I resigned from the university and became a full time entrepeneur finding my passion. This was a perfect solution as me and my business partner as well as husband also started a family.  We have a son and daughter who grew up with travelling to markets and packing and unpacking and stock. They are now young adults each pursuing their own careers. 

Sven and I later bought a farm and sandstone factory where we expanded our business to such an extend that he joined me full time managing the and designing products for the sandstone range.  We opened shops in Bloemfontein and Clarens and supplied major shops in 9 Malls in Gauteng.

As is with business which is an ever evolving venture we later only focussed on our Clarens shop.  This is also where I ventured into gaining new skills - I love being creative!  I started a textile desgining business and manufactured this new range of interior decor.   After 27 years in travelling  1000's of km between shops and home  every week - we decided that its time to make major choices to protect our well being. Sven is now  full time busy with his new career in the alternative energy field and I am now focussed on the developing and expanding of our online business ECHO LIFE.  This is such an exciting time for me to focus on my designing skills  and moving into a new stage of being connected with my customers in a totally different way. - I now have a business coach  and are currently doing new courses to develop new skills  in the field of designing and social media marketing  - it is so fulfilling- and I want to pass this new skills and experience that I have gained over many years of business to connect with woman., a new season for me finding meaning when the nest gets empty!
